On The Road To St. Tropez
I’m off to France, Italy and Germany for one month. I’ve never taken a month vacation before. But, it’s time for a few firsts in my life. What started the planning was the “Berlin Marathon.” It’s the 40th Berlin Marathon on September 29, 2013 and my daughter will be running. It’s her fifth marathon. I’m really excited to see Berlin. I’ve been told it’s one of the “hot spots” in Europe these days. I’m bringing my camera and journal. I’ll be there for four days.
But, the romantic part of my journey begins in France. I’ll meet “mon amour” in Marseille, and we’ll be traveling around Southern France in Provence. We’re planning several small trips to Nice, Cannes, Avignon, Lyon and Northern Italy. I can’t wait! Let’s just hope the muffler doesn’t drop like last time on our way to St. Tropez. (nothing like car trouble to diminish those loving feelings.)
I’ll be sampling lots of Rose and Burgundy wines and eating lots of great cheese and crusty breads. So incredible!

Just landed in Paris. My connecting flight to Marseilles in 45 mins. I had a row of seats to myself. Flight was great. So much better than my first experience missing the flight last year on Ascension Thursday. xo Dee
